I am Jennifer Roblin, an anxiety specialist and therapist based in Chelmsford, Essex, working with clients in person and online worldwide. As far back as I can remember, I lived with anxiety. As a child it was never called anxiety. It was brushed off as shyness or being socially awkward. I carried it alone, in silence, convinced something was seriously wrong with me and that I was losing my mind.

The truth is, anxiety does not always hold you back from achieving things on the outside. Like so many people, I learnt to function alongside it rather than address it, which just makes everything so much harder than it needs to be.

I went on to build a career spanning over 30 years as a Senior Manager in Investment Banking across London, New York and several European cities. Behind the scenes I was still quietly navigating social anxiety, health anxiety, fear of judgement, impostor syndrome and fear of failure. I could see those same patterns playing out in my teams too. The biggest thing holding the most talented people back was not skill or ambition. It was anxiety.

That realisation, combined with a pivotal personal moment at home, led me to leave corporate life, retrain, and dedicate myself entirely to helping others overcome anxiety. That was over ten years ago and I have never looked back.

I am passionate about one simple truth: you are not broken. Your nervous system has simply learnt to respond in a way that no longer serves you, and what has been learnt can absolutely be unlearned.

Anxiety shows up differently in everyone, but some of the most common signs include heart palpitations, nausea, feeling dizzy, insomnia, headaches, shaking, a persistent feeling of fear, hyperventilating, leg and muscle aches, chest tightness, difficulty concentrating, irritability, sweating, avoidance behaviour and a sense of dread.

When Is The Right Time To Seek Help?

Just as you would seek help for a physical illness, your mental health deserves the same care and attention. Anxiety is often deeply rooted and a GP, however well meaning, has limited time to explore what is really going on. Addressing the root cause rather than the symptoms is where lasting change begins.

How I Work

My approach focuses on working with your subconscious mind and nervous system. I draw on a tailored combination of NLP with Neuroscience, Timeline Therapy, Human Behaviour Therapy, EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques) and Hypnotherapy. Rather than placing a plaster over the symptoms, we get to the root cause of your anxiety and change your response at the deepest level.

You are not broken. You simply need recalibrating.

I work with clients in person from my consultancy room in Chelmsford, Essex, and online over Zoom with clients across the UK and internationally. I also offer Walk and Talk Therapy in the beautiful Essex countryside for those who prefer a more relaxed setting.

Who I Work With

I work with clients aged 6 to 86, from children and teenagers to high achieving professionals, business owners and public speakers. I also work with a number of therapists who come to me to work on their own anxiety, which I consider one of the greatest privileges of my work.

I have trained with Tony Robbins and have volunteered on mental health charity phone lines for over 15 years, something I continue to do to this day.

I genuinely love what I do and I am fascinated by people. I have always been passionate about understanding what makes each person think and behave the way they do, and that curiosity drives everything I bring to my work.

Outside of work I can often be found cycling on my road or mountain bike, doing yoga or pilates, or disappearing for a weekend away in my motorhome with my partner and Bailey, my dog.
